Getting started
Come As You Are. We’ll Figure Out the Next Step Together.
You don't need a perfect explanation of what's wrong, or a plan for what to say. Therapy is a place to begin.
Your first conversation
We'll talk about what brings you in, what has felt hardest, and what you hope might change. You can ask questions about my style and whether we're a good fit. You won't be expected to share everything before you're ready.
My approach
Warm, practical, and collaborative. I listen closely, ask questions, and help you notice patterns. Depending on your needs, we may draw on CBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, or relationship-focused approaches. We can talk about what feels helpful and adjust together.
Frequently asked questions
What if I cry or don't know where to start?
Both are welcome. We can start with whatever feels most manageable.
Will you tell me what decision to make?
My role is to help you explore your options and values, not to decide your future for you.
Is virtual therapy effective?
Telehealth can be a useful format for many people. We'll discuss privacy, fit, and whether it meets your needs.
How much does therapy cost?
Individual therapy is $250 per session and couples therapy is $275 per session. Ask about current policies, insurance arrangements, and out-of-network documentation before beginning.
What if therapy doesn't feel like it's helping?
Please tell me. Feedback is part of good therapy, and we can revisit your goals or discuss other options.
